Mastering the Academic Essay is an eight-week course for junior high and high school students who desire to write academic papers successfully. Students will be taught how to effectively write an academic essay by employing the canons of persuasive prose—Invention, Organization, Style, and Revision—and how to properly cite their work in Turabian/Chicago style. Students who satisfactorily complete this course will be equipped to think wisely and write persuasively for academic success and cultural engagement.
