Class Description: Join this class to learn a centuries-old bookbinding technique, the Coptic Stitch. Students will be guided through a step-by-step process of preparing book blocks, creating and decorating covers, and hand-sewing bindings. The goal is for each student to produce two completed books by the end of class. The content of these books can be anything from favorite poems to recipe collections or left blank for sketching and journaling, etc.

Required Materials:
- Paper
- Parchment paper
- Japanese paper
- Bookboard (3 or more sheets)
- Cotton fabric (at least one yard)
- PVA adhesive
- Binding Starter Kit
- Exacto knife
- Cork-backed ruler
- Cutting mat
