Class Description:  Writing with Wisdom and Eloquence is a full-year course for high school students who desire to write. This course of study supplements Rhetoric and meets on the off-days. Students will be taught the theory of poetics, the canons of persuasive prose, the elements of fine storytelling, and the fundamentals of poetic verse using the best representative literature. Students who satisfactorily complete this course will discover the influence of humane letters on the life of the mind of a writer and be equipped to think wisely and write eloquently so they can engage their culture with compelling stories, persuasive essays, and inspiring poetry.
