"Throughout my life I’ve been raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin. I attended public school until 6th grade. I was pulled from public school during the pandemic and started Logos in 7th grade. At first, it was really hard for me as it was a huge transition! I wasn’t used to the kind of workload I experienced at Logos, but later, I grew to love it and now I can say it was good for me because it challenged me. Logos has pushed me to grow in many ways. Mainly, it grew my knowledge of God and it deepened my love for God and His Word. It has shaped me spiritually into the young woman I am and is further influencing who I desire to become. While attending Logos, I grew to enjoy reading and learning about great authors and great books! I’ve genuinely enjoyed my time at Logos! Outside of school I really enjoy doing many things, but some of my favorites are baking, serving my church/ family, and I love music.
I have been in the kitchen cooking and baking -helping my mom since I was 9 years old. I have grown to especially love baking. I am able to have fun and experiment with it and it allows me to be creative.
Music has also been a big love in my life. I have grown up playing the violin since I was 8 years old. I love being able to play classical music and I hope to play on the worship team of my church someday.
Currently, I am preparing to graduate a year earlier than expected. I intend to take a gap year while I’m still 17 to work full time and save some money. During this time, I plan to attend one year of culinary school at a local tech college. The following fall I should be all set to continue my studies, Lord willing, at Bethlehem College and Seminary where I ’t wait to further indulge in the great books with the greatest book at the top of my list.
In the future, I would love to open my own bakery, serve my church with my violin, and all while raising a family with my husband."

"Throughout my high school journey, I have worked hard to balance my extracurricular activities, my academic activities, and my personal growth in my faith. All of this has helped shape me into the person I am today. Over the past four years, I have challenged myself to pursue my passions outside of school, especially my love for horses and the equine industry. Academically, I plan to attend our local community college to get my associate's degree. I am hoping to have the two years to really focus on stepping out of my comfort zone and really dive deep into knowing what I want to do. If I find something I truly love, I will then go on to get my bachelor's degree.
Outside of academics, my time has been very dedicated to working with horses. I have been involved with horses for most of my life. I have been actively involved in riding, training, and taking on the responsibilities that come with owning them. This has not only been my passion, but it has also been a major part of my personal goals. I have gained many valuable skills such as patience, discipline, and perseverance. Being involved in the equine industry has allowed me so many great opportunities. This summer I will have the opportunity to learn from one of the best in the horse jumping world. Lisa Bishop is allowing me to be her working student and assistant trainer.
Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a future in the equine industry, specifically focusing on the breeding and young horse programs. My goal is to build and grow my breeding program, combining both my passions, and hopefully my business skills that I will learn in college. I am very excited to continue my learning and hands-on experience, while also working towards establishing a successful and respected program. Overall, my educational journey has taught me more than just academics- it has been about growth, passions, and preparing for the future. I am very grateful for the experiences God has allowed me to have. None of this would be possible without Him. I am looking forward to the path He has set for me. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” This verse will always remind me that none of this is possible with Him."

"I was born and raised in the middle-of-nowhere Washington State, on a beautiful lake, 20 minutes from the Canadian border. I’ve lived my 19 years of life here and went to a private Waldorf school from preschool to 8th grade. I had the best foundation for not only my education but my childhood, and left with 10 plus years of friendships. I was then enrolled in Logos for high school. These four years have pushed me in tough but extremely rewarding ways. I explored the 2024 presidential election in Government and Economics with Mr. Thigh. I traveled with composers through the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and 20th century eras in Music History class with Mrs. Trauger. I delved into classic literature and theology with Mr. Litwin, and shared many laughs with Mr. Rauch through three years of math classes! Not only have I learned how to think for myself, but I have grown my faith in the process. Logos will always be appreciated for helping me to understand and argue biblical concepts while reminding me each day of the gospel. Applying what I’ve learned from Logos to human nature and culture around the world has been crucial for becoming an adult and will continue to benefit me for the rest of my life.
Right out of the womb I was born to be a traveler and an adventurer. I have two amazing parents who just wanted one child to travel the world with, and so we did. I’ve been very blessed to have visited 40 countries, witnessed cultures and seen God’s artistry up close. I’ve also had very patient and supportive teachers of our roadschooling lifestyle. Despite my traveling experience, I am not remotely done. I plan after graduation to do a work exchange program overseas with a company called WorldPackers. Travelers and backpackers all over the world use this as a way to travel cheap and make valuable friendships in the process. This could entail cleaning or cooking at a hostel or helping at an animal sanctuary. Other than traveling, I adore the outdoors: hiking, camping, kayaking, and waking up early to watch the sunrise. I am an avid reader of any genre, a lover of music, especially the 60s-70s, and an aspiring artist.
I am beyond grateful for my parents for providing these academics, helping me through all the late study nights, and showing me the world. I am thankful to my church family for always being in support of my dreams and praying for me every step of the way. Last but not least, I am so grateful to all my friends who have been the highlight of my high school years and a privilege to grow up with!"

"Academically, I’ve pursued challenge and excellence through Classical Conversations and Logos Online School, where I’m taking a full honors load and maintaining a GPA over 4.0. I have a love for learning anything new. Throughout my high school career I’ve chosen to do many elective classes such as music history, theology, and art. I enjoy learning languages and am currently studying Spanish and Latin as well.
Outside of academics, I’ve found great joy in the arts and athletics. I’ve been part of choir for five years, now serving in a leadership role, and I’ve taken piano lessons for six years. I also play upright bass and recently joined the live orchestra for Pirates of Penzance. Sports have taught me perseverance and teamwork. I’ve played soccer for seven years, swam competitively for two years, and run cross country for four years, serving as team captain this year. Running has become one of my favorite disciplines; I’ve completed two half marathons and plan to do another one this coming year."

"For most of my life I have grown up in Sisters, Oregon – a little cowboy town in Central Oregon nestled under the shadow of the Cascade Mountains. I was fully homeschooled until 3rd grade, when I switched to a charter school for the remainder of elementary and middle school. We started LOS my freshman year.
Upon entering LOS, my mind was blown – especially by the humanities class. Since three years old I have read voraciously, but that first year planted a deep love of classics and history that has only grown (Jane Austen, Dante, and Shakespeare…yes please!). The math and science classes were also wonderful; I found that learning with a teacher and other classmates is much more fun than going solo. While I’ve always thought of myself as a “humanities person,” chemistry and physics were some of my favorite classes.
When not doing school, I’m a jack of all trades. I have been part of an amazing regional choir for eight years (Youth Choir of Central Oregon) and went on two international tours with them: once to Spain and France, and more recently to Austria and Italy. I volunteer as a mentor to YCCO’s middle school choir, passing down my love for music. I also enjoy running, training both independently and running cross country with the local high school (Go Outlaws!!). In my off season, I take CrossFit and Hyrox classes at a nearby gym. When not working out, you can also find me working outside as a ranch-hand – taking care of livestock, operating irrigation, setting up weddings, and lots of odd jobs. Finally, this year provided me with the opportunity to volunteer as a Search and Rescue cadet. I have learned wilderness survival, medical, navigation, and rescue training from seasoned first-responders and outdoorsmen. It has been an incredible experience and I hope to use that knowledge to save some lives.
I plan to attend Oregon State University on a Navy ROTC scholarship, majoring in computer science. This opportunity to serve my country as a Naval officer is extremely exciting and I am very grateful. Although I am pursuing a STEM major, you will probably find me squeezing in some classics reading when time permits – there’s still so much to glean from the old books! That is ultimately why I am so thankful for Logos: it equipped me with the tools I need to pursue knowledge even outside of class.
Thank you to my extended family and close friends (you know who you are!) whose faithful support has been a lifeline to me. A HUGE thank you to my incredible family – Papa, Mama, Iain, Aeryn, and Shane – I love you too much to put into words. Finally, a thank you to my Lord. You are so good and unwaveringly loving to me, and You deserve all the praise. Thank You."

"I was born in Tennessee, but at a few months old my parents and I flew back to China where they had already been living for some time before I came along. Shortly afterwards my younger sister (and best friend) was born and started making things exciting. Pretty soon there were six girls in the family. During our time in China, where I spent eleven years of my life, my wonderful, capable, patient, loving mom homeschooled us all. But in 2020 (what a year!) we were not able to stay in China any longer, so we moved back to the States for a time. While there, my parents heard of Logos from some families at our amazing church. Before I knew it I was enrolled, and — my, did I have a wild ride ahead of me, not knowing what I was getting into with all the hard work! I attended Logos through 8th and 9th grade while in the States, and then continued on when we moved to Central Asia when I was in 10th grade.
To say Logos has been a blessing would be an understatement. It has helped me grow in so many ways. My teachers have been amazing (shoutout to Mr. Spratt, Mrs. Roberts, Mr. Santos, Mr. Smith, Mr. Litwin, Mr. Biette, Mr. Lorenzana, Dr. G-P, and Mrs. Mutart!), and they have taught me to think critically, grow more in the knowledge of God’s Word, become more of a hard worker, learn to persevere through difficult assignments without giving up, and become capable of meeting deadlines. I will definitely miss the quality teaching, the people, the rigorous discussions and debates, and all the hilarious class moments.
I would not have been able to do this without my amazing parents who stayed up until the wee hours of the morning helping me write papers, work through math problems, and understand books like Herodotus.
When I’m not doing school, I enjoy watercolor painting, piano, and singing for fun. I also love hanging out with my family, being a part of all the inside family jokes, dying laughing with my sisters about who knows what, and having all of our adventures together!
After graduation I plan to stay in Central Asia with my family, get a job here, continue language study, and hopefully start nursing classes."

"Born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, I've had the honor of classical Christian education all my life. At the end of my 7th grade year, we decided to switch from Trinitas to Logos, where I have been ever since!
Over the past few years, the Lord has grown within me a love of teaching and given me opportunities to prepare for that. In my junior year, I had the delight of becoming a tutor and serving others as I was able. In my senior year, I took on the responsibility of Tutoring Club President and have had some of the greatest joy in this role. On top of this, the Lord provided a place for me to work and observe at the school I used to attend. As I look to the next four years, I plan to study education and theology at Reformation Bible College in Sanford, Florida.
I can't seem to leave Florida. Born here, lived here, going to college here, and maybe one day married and raising a family here. I love the family, friends, and church community all around me (Woohoo CREC! Go paedo baptist!!). And my most favorite part is the beach. In my spare time, in this glorious flat state, I enjoy watercolor painting, playing the harp, riding horses, playing DnD, reading the Bible in Hebrew, and training my two crazy dogs.
All of the growth and glory and joy would not be possible without the many godly teachers who have ceaselessly cared for us. Thank you.
You have taught me the meaning of "Acta Non Verba" and by that I hope to live."

"I was born in Orlando, Florida, where I lived most of my life before moving to the Dominican Republic, where my parents serve as missionaries. I joined Logos in high school, and through both my education and living abroad, I’ve gained a broader perspective on the world and the different ways people think and live.
I’ve always been interested in science, but Biology with Mr. Kwong truly sparked my interest and made me fall in love with the subject. Because of that, I plan to pursue a career as a DNA analyst. Outside of science, I really enjoyed IH4 with Mr. Litwin, and my all-time favorite class, Calculus with Mrs. Hedderly, who is one of the best teachers at Logos. During my senior year I joined the Spanish Club and have had so much fun.
Outside of online school, I attend a music academy in Dajabón, where I play in both the orchestra and municipal band, as well as teach flute. Music has been a way for me to connect with others and grow in discipline and leadership. I also teach English at my dad’s church and translate for visitors who come to visit.
I run my own local business called Dulce de Sami, where I make and sell pralines to individuals and local businesses. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, playing and watching sports, andando por las calles con mis panas (“walking the streets with my buddies/pals/homies”), and going out and trying new things.
After graduation, I plan to attend the University of Central Florida and pursue a degree in forensic science, with the goal of working as a DNA analyst."

"I began my education in a wonderful public elementary school. After covid sent me home early from 6th grade, my parents made the decision to homeschool my siblings and I. Though I didn't realize it at the time, their decision to place me in LOS was an incredible blessing that I am grateful for daily. I've learned history, theology, science, math, philosophy, studied great books, and discovered a love for Christ and Scripture that I might never have found, had I stayed in public school.
Despite my schooling being entirely online, I have still been able to participate in my local high school's band! After playing the flute for eight years, I have worked my way into the audition-only ensemble at Union High School and I am the flute section leader! I've been blessed to be a part of the best high school band in my state, as well as compete in my state's Solo and Ensemble contest with piano solos, flute duets, and a woodwind quintet. This year, our wind quintet won first place at regionals and we traveled to compete at state!
I have also spent the past year as a group leader with Students for Life, a national pro life organization that equips students to fight abortion and defend the preborn. I've hosted protests, ran pro life chalk events, and spoken with students on college campuses. This has become a huge passion of mine, and my hope is that I can make it into a career after college! Whether I am working for Students for Life or a different organization, I hope to continue to fight abortion for many years to come.
A few more of my hobbies include songwriting, writing poetry, weightlifting, and anything western! I love spending my summers on staff at a Christian camp where I not only get to teach kids how to ride horses, but I get to share the gospel with them and show them the love of Jesus. I’m headed straight back to camp just three weeks after graduation!
At the end of the summer, I will move to Louisville, Kentucky to attend Boyce College. I am enrolled in their Philosophy, Politics, and Economics degree. After my four years at Boyce, I hope to begin my career in the pro life movement, but ultimately, I want to be a wife and a mother.
I truly cannot thank LOS enough for the role it has played in my spiritual and educational growth the past six years. While I am excited to move forward in what God has called me to do, I am sad to leave behind the incredible family I have found at this school. Thank you for everything you do for us!"

"I was born and raised in Florida. We've lived in our current house here in Pensacola for 12 years. I was homeschooled and did Classical Conversations through 4th grade, and then 5th-7th grade I attended a local Classical Christian School. My parents then decided to take me out and place me at Logos my 8th grade year, and I've been here ever since. At first I was very resistant and opposed to coming home and attending an online school, but I eventually grew to love the teachers, classmates, advantages, and flexibility that Logos allows. Having no school on Fridays was a huge plus, and I could choose my teachers, classes and times to whatever worked best for our schedule. I've made several friends here over the years, many of whom I've met in person, and a few of which will likely remain life-time friends.
I've played piano for 10 years now, and I tried out violin for about 2 years. When I was younger, I played both soccer and was on a competitive swim team for a little bit. I recently began running in the fall, and have now started taking jiu-jitsu classes at the gym where I work. I will be attending New Saint Andrews College in Moscow, Idaho this coming fall."

"I was born and raised in Henderson, NV, a small city next to Las Vegas. I was homeschooled by my gracious mother until 6th grade where I was enrolled in public school. When Covid hit and school shut down, my father realized that our family was dysfunctional and we needed to draw close to God. He heard about Logos from a friend he respected, and decided to enroll me as well as my brother and sister (Levi and Emily). I’ve taken four classes in Logos each year since 7th grade and I can confidently say that this school has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. From Mr. Spratt showing me the gospel for the first time and teaching me the art of rhetoric, to Mr. Smith helping me become a better person through his kindness and intellect, I am extremely grateful. Before I came to Logos I was an atheist, but now I’m a Christian resolute in my faith all thanks to the teachers and classmates I’ve had the pleasure of learning from and getting to know throughout the years.
Ever since I was young I’ve always loved sports. I played basketball for 8 years and flag football for 4, as well as doing rodeo for 2 and a half years and rock climbing for 1. I was a CCFD Explorer for a year, and this more than any sport helped me grow as a man. In addition to learning the skills of a firefighter, you are exposed to team building and reliance. I’ve experienced a real sense of comradery with my fellow explorers through shared hardship.
I love music. It is the voice of poetry. I started playing guitar when I was 14 and began taking singing lessons when I was 15. For the past four years there’s hardly been a single day where I haven’t sung or played guitar. If pain is the weight of being, music is our hope –God’s gift to us. From starting out tone deaf and being unable to sing, I’ve slowly become more skilled and I continue to learn and get better. I want to play guitar and sing all my life. I’m grateful to my singing teacher Ms. Sharon and my parents, Mike and Christine, for helping me cultivate this part of myself and being so instrumental in my development.
I want to be a firefighter, get married, have a ton of kids, and glorify God through my music and how I interact with others. I want to help people, and right now firefighting seems like the best way I can do that. For the next few years I’m not sure what I’ll do, but I know I’m going to travel and go on adventures. The world is wide and I’m ready to run."

I have always been a musically inclined person, but as I progressed through high school, I realized just how much I love it. I resumed piano lessons and ended up singing with a few professional bands all of my senior year. This caught the attention of a former LA singer Donna Ray, who offered me private voice lessons. "Hi! My name is Sofia Center, and I live in beautiful northwest Nebraska with my parents, two younger sisters, and a couple of crazy cats. In my spare time (when I have it), I love reading, making music with both my voice and instruments, spending time outside hiking, swimming or gardening, playing board games, hanging out with my family and friends, and finding ways to serve in my church. Throughout high school I am thankful to have gotten to work a part-time job at a local butcher shop that serves a multitude of ranchers in our community.
I have been homeschooled nearly all of my life, but was able to join LOS in time for my junior year. Even though I was a comparative latecomer, I quickly grew to love it. I really enjoyed and appreciated the way I was taught through the classical model to think about the world around me, and I loved every second of all the rich, Christ-centered discussions I had with teachers and classmates. Rather than individual categories to be chosen between and pursued for their own sake, I have learned to view and value all the subjects as pieces of a bigger picture, which God has created to work perfectly and wonderfully together. LOS enabled me to achieve academic success, as I was honored this past February to become a National Merit Scholar.
The discovery that there are schools that do education in this way was a very happy one for me, and fueled my desire to attend a classical liberal arts college. I soon discovered New Saint Andrews College, and have enrolled there for the 2026/27 school year. I have many interests I could envision myself pursuing in very different directions that I am not quite ready to choose between, including (but certainly not limited to!) teaching, architecture, chemistry, writing, missions, or even starting my own business. Most of all, I hope to eventually be married and serve the Lord by serving my family. I am excited to be able to first get a more well-rounded education and spend some time growing in wisdom, faith, knowledge, and discernment. I don’t exactly know yet what God has planned for me to be doing with my life in the future, but I’m definitely not yet ready to be done learning! Regardless of where I end up, I hope to continue in life-long learning in order to be well equipped for whatever life throws at me, and to be a blessing to those around me.

"I grew up on a dude ranch just outside of Yellowstone Park in Wyoming. I attended a small country school about a half hour from our ranch through the 5th grade but then would have had to commute into the nearest large town which would have been about an hour from home for middle school and high school. We decided that wasn't a practical option so that is when I began my journey with Logos which we had heard about from a family that we went to church with. It has been a great opportunity to learn from home with a faith-based curriculum.
The state of Wyoming is great about allowing home school students to participate in public school sports so that has allowed me the opportunity to dive for the past 7 years on the Cody Middle and High School teams as well as ski race on the Cody High School Alpine Ski team for the past 3 years. I have also worked at a nearby ski area teaching skiing and as a wrangler the past couple of summers guiding trail rides in the mountains outside Yellowstone. I love all things outdoors from riding, to skiing, climbing, swimming, paddle boarding, trail running, and more.
My plan for the future is to get my EMT certification this fall and then complete a paramedic certification following that at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming. I also plan to coach ski racing while obtaining these certifications and then see where the Lord takes me."

"I was born and raised in Arkansas, I’m the youngest of four siblings and only daughter. I attended private school for two years before being homeschooled by my aunt. At the start of 8th grade, I started Logos Online School, and it has been a meaningful part of my education. During my junior year, it was discovered that I had enough credits to graduate early, so I moved up to the senior class of 2026.
I’ve been playing piano for 11 years and play keyboard in the instrumental ensemble at my church. Outside of music, I’ve always loved staying active and being part of different sports. Volleyball has been one of my favorites. I also did taekwondo for several years and earned my black belt.
Throughout my time at Logos, I’ve grown not only academically but also in my faith and appreciation for hard work. I’m grateful to my parents for their constant love, encouragement, and example of faithfulness; to my three older brothers, who have protected me and kept me grounded in my faith; to my best friend, who has been a constant in my life and someone I can always count on; and to my family and friends, who have always been there for me.
After graduation, I plan to attend the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith (UAFS) to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Ultimately, I pray I can care for a godly family like the one I was blessed to grow up in. I’m excited to see what the future holds and where God leads me next."

"In the year of 2008, I left my comfortable home and found myself in Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This would become the town I’d call home for the next 17 years. Throughout my life, I grew up with my father, my mother, and eight siblings, and among us, I was the third oldest. Up until 2021, during the peak of our nation's economic growth, I was taught by my mother in my elementary years and by my father during my first three years of middle school. By my last year of middle school, my Father enrolled me into Logos.
My experience here was nothing short of amazing! Every teacher I’ve had has helped me grow in my walk with Christ. Being homeschooled my whole life meant I had far fewer human interactions, but with Logos, I was able to meet peers from different walks of life, each bringing a distinct variety of knowledge. Through this, I’ve grown both spiritually and academically.
Some of my current hobbies include basketball, volleyball, cooking, and playing the piano. I started attending a Christ-based Taekwondo class about six or seven years ago and stopped going around 2020–2021, after achieving a 2nd-degree black belt."

This fall I will attend Howard Payne University to pursue my bachelors of science in nursing. I look forward to serving Christ and his people wherever God leads me!"

"I attended public school in North Carolina from Kindergarten-2nd grade, switched to homeschool, and then went back to public school again after moving to Oklahoma in 2021. After about a year and a half, I decided I wanted to go back to doing homeschool. That's when we found Logos. I have been doing Logos for 3 years now and it has been such a wonderful blessing! This school has taught me so much and I am beyond grateful for every teacher and classmate I have been blessed to cross paths with.
A little about me- I grew up in North Carolina and spent lots of time with family and friends visiting the beautiful beaches and mountains. In 2019 my family and I went on a month-long cross-country trip and it opened my eyes to just how marvelous God's creation really is. I have always loved being outside and going on adventures to see new things! In 2021 our family decided to pack up and move to Oklahoma where we joined the most wonderful church. Ever since joining our church I have seen so much growth from God in my life. At this church, I also met my fiancé! I enjoy doing many things such as, crocheting, baking and cooking, hiking, making coffees with the espresso machine, and doing anything outdoors.
After graduation, I will be getting ready to be married to my fiancé, Deacon Deevers! We will be living on a farm and will be taking care of all the animals. I hope to get a job at a local coffee shop until we have a family. Once we have kids, I plan to take all the knowledge my family, friends, and this school have poured into me and teach it all to my kids. My goal in life is to be a godly wife and mother. I want to homeschool my kids and ultimately honor God in everything I do."

"I have lived in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho all my life with my mom, dad, and older sister. For the first twelve years of my education, I went to a brick and mortar private school. Due to changes with the curriculum at my school and the opportunities available at LOS, I decided to complete my senior year online. Online school was quite a different experience from what I was used to, but both schools had their roots in classical, Christ-centered education.
All my life I’ve been invested in the pursuit of art, whether that be traditional pencil and paper, or other media such as digital, paint, animation, etc. The desire to create is one of the attributes humans receive from our Creator, and I wish to pursue my artistic journey throughout my life and find a way to use it to God’s glory. In addition to art, I enjoy physical activities such as the study of karate at my local Christian dojo, and intend to continue to learn there.
I do not have a set plan for higher education quite yet. What I do want to do in terms of a career is to be able to give to others the education I was given. Not many people are given such a gift as a classical, Christian education, and if I was fortunate enough to receive it, why should I keep it all to myself?"

"I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, but we moved to Florida when I was seven. Up until middle school, I was educated in private Christian schools—but since the school I was attending offered neither a very rigorous education nor a high school, it was time for a change. I went to a secular private school for a few years, but when we received the reading list for the first year of high school, it was clear that this was no longer where God wanted me to be.
That's when Logos stepped in. My only experience with online school had been during COVID, so I was skeptical at first, to say the least. But after a year of this online, classical environment, I knew I had found the right place.
Outside of school, I enjoy writing and music (specifically, playing piano), and these are things I have been able to foster in Logos as well. Writing Club, Mr. Goode's How to Write class, Mr. Sumpter's Poetry class, and Mrs. Trauger's Aesthetics in Music class have each been incredible influences to me—not to mention Humanities, for which I've had Mr. Litwin all four years, and in which we read an astounding number of good books.
Lord willing, I will be headed to Covenant College on Lookout Mt. GA, in the fall to study music. I will certainly never forget the experiences I have had at Logos."

"I have tried many different kinds of school in my life. I was public schooled from K-2nd grade, and then again for all of middle school and my freshman year of high school. I went to a private Christian school from 3-5th grade, and ever since my sophomore year I have been attending LOS. Throughout middle and high school I played many sports, but the one that remained consistent the whole time was football. I've always loved the intensity and aggressiveness of football, and even though I'm done playing, I'm excited that next year while attending New Saint Andrews College, I'll be able to try my hand at rugby. At NSA, I hope to grow as a Christian man, and to gain many opportunities for work and ministry."

"I’m from Seattle, Washington, and I attended three different Private Classical Christian Schools in the area (with a few years of homeschooling from 2nd to 4th grade) before going back to homeschooling through LOS for my junior and senior years. Along with LOS, I’ve also been doing a few classes at a Christian Homeschool Co-op in Seattle. It’s been quite a journey! I can honestly say that I’ve enjoyed different aspects of both types of schooling, and I’ve met many good friends along the way.
I’ve also lifeguarded and taught swimming lessons all through high school. It’s been amazing being out in the sun all summer long!
In 8th grade, I thought I’d try out Speech and Debate, and I loved it! I did that through my junior year, competing at local, regional, and national tournaments and championships, culminating in 24th place in debate at the National Championship.
I’ll be attending New Saint Andrews College in the fall (but really I want to get married and have lots of babies). I’m also really just excited to make lots of bread, and cook lots of yummy food—my sourdough starter is finally going to be used more than once a week! I’ll also have lots of fun with friends and my older sister, who already goes to NSA. Thank you to all my teachers up to this point, and a big thanks to my parents!"

"Howdy! My name is Alexander Enns. I was born and raised in the Bay Area of California, about 30 miles from San Francisco. My mom homeschooled me and all of my younger siblings from the start, and I began taking some online classes in 7th grade with Veritas Online School. Part way through that year, Covid hit, and life changed significantly for a long time. After that entire situation, the hostility in that area for my Conservative Christian family grew and my parents decided they didn't want us to grow up in that environment. So, in March of 2021, we moved to the great home of Buc-ee's and HEB: Texas. We moved to a small-ish town outside of San Antonio called Boerne ,and aside from the heat, we adjusted very quickly and this became our home. My freshman year I switched from Veritas to Logos , and completed all of high school in this school. It has been more of a blessing than I can put to words being a part of this school, full of incredible teachers and great friends.
I love weightlifting and working out as well as just about any sport. For about 11 years now I've been playing piano, enjoying playing for fun, for recitals, participating in multiple quartets with some friends, and even substituting in Church when our regular pianist is out of town (our regular pianist is also my teacher, shoutout to Mrs. Vis for pushing me to do more than I ever thought I could)."

"I live in a little out of the way town called Killaloe in the beautiful wilderness of Eastern Ontario, Canada, where we (figuratively) grow rocks thanks to the Canadian shield, witness beautiful wildlife, and stunning views, go hiking in the woods and swim in some of the many lakes. I have been blessed to be able to spend the majority of my time with my parents and siblings (3 younger brothers and 1 younger sister), all of whom I can say are not only my siblings but good friends and partners in crime. The only year I spent in a “real school” was kindergarten. After that, my parents decided to homeschool us, and so my brilliant mother did. I was completely under her tutelage until grade 9, the year I started Logos. She continued parts of my education until grade 12, in which I did everything with Logos. How she manages to not only teach my 4 younger siblings, but also teach 3 classes for Logos, while her and Dad keep a Christ-centered focus on raising us, is amazing.
My extracurricular activities include riding/training my two horses, keeping my nose in a book, painting with watercolours, hiking, skating and very informal ice hockey, singing, suddenly deciding to quote a whole movie with my siblings at the dinner table, laughing with friends from Logos while doing my math homework, sewing, having fun with my co-workers and making work (a café) a fun place, hanging out with friends who live near me, stargazing, doing questionable stunts with my brother, helping out at the local barn, and being wowed by the creativity of our awesome God. I have been in a few different clubs over my years with Logos, and they have all been great as have my classmates and teachers.
I am so thankful for my awesome parents who have always been there to support, chastise, and encourage me; my wonderful teachers who taught me; the friends I’ve made and hope to keep over high school; and to God for allowing me to have the experiences and knowledge that I have been granted. I hope to one day marry and have lots of kids, but in the meantime I would like to attend some form of Bible college (RBC and TMU are my current prospects) and I would love to pursue a career with horses. I pray that God gives me the courage and wisdom to share the Gospel and why we need a Savior to people I meet in the day to day, and shine God’s love with whomever I come in contact with in whatever I end up doing."

"I was born the eldest of 4 children in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. I was raised in a Christian home, and I attended a local private Christian school from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8.
I actively participated in sports throughout my childhood, including track, cross country, and lacrosse. When I was in Grade 4, I began competitive swimming in which I excelled. My 9 seasons of swimming taught me perseverance, time management, and work ethic. It also helped manage my competitive spirit and was a great way to incorporate lots of exercise into my day. Daily swim practice also meant a lot of early morning practices for my father to drive me to. Thank you, Dad!
In the summer of 2021, following my father's retirement, our family moved from Ontario to New Brunswick, and I began Grade 9 at Logos. The initial transition was difficult, adjusting from an elementary classroom to the expectations of a virtual high school, which included a rigorous workload. Once I established a routine, I was grateful for the change and time margin that I had. In Grade 11, I took some classes at Crandall University, where I will continue studying full-time this fall. Logos has challenged me academically, helped me grow spiritually, and encouraged me to strive to honor God in all that I am called to do. I am blessed to have parents who have invested themselves in my education and created opportunities for much family travel and adventure, and family time every year. In conjunction with my future studies, I would also like to travel and explore more of God’s beautiful creation."

"I was born and raised in the great Southern state of Alabama. I've lived here my whole life and the Lord has blessed me with an education structured on a Christian homeschool foundation. I was blessed to have my mom as my teacher and my siblings as my sole classmates for eight years, until my parents came across Logos, when my older brother began high school. I continued down the same path after him when I began high school, and I'm so grateful for that. The Lord has blessed us greatly with the teachers, students, and resources of this school. What a blessing and a joy to be surrounded by like-minded Christians, learning with the Word of God as our guide! Logos has given me a better glimpse of what the real world is like, for all its benefits and temptations alike, and given me a stronger mindset to endure it. As I look back on the years of schooling I've endured, I am amazed at how great our Heavenly Father truly is. Besides the traditional subjects such as math and science, I have been able to experience Latin, Church history, and debate, which have given me skills I will hold onto for the rest of my life.
I have enjoyed five years of piano lessons, one year of volleyball, ten years of track, about nine months of work as a Chick-fil-A employee, and a plethora of other classes and activities from a Christian perspective with Christian encouragement, for which I will be forever grateful. My plan after high school is to continue working at Chick-fil-A serving the Lord's chicken, and to further my experience as an event photographer. "Born and raised in a small town in Kansas, I was homeschooled for most of my life. I spent most of my middle school years in various programs primarily orchestrated by my parents with the exception of two years which I spent in public school. I joined Logos Online for my freshman year and have loved it for all 4 years. From a very young age, I became heavily involved in an ice hockey program and have been playing the sport for over 12 years now. I have attended many tournaments across the midwest. During my freshman year I also picked up writing as a serious hobby, and in just my 4 years, have written more than 5 full-length novels with one successfully published. I also have a deep appreciation for video games and have participated in tournaments in that area as well, leading me to sign up for the LOS Esports team which I have been doing for all of my senior year so far. As I graduate, I plan on not only pursuing these hobbies and interests but also pursuing a degree in accounting, hoping to incorporate my faith into everything I do and seek to bring the Word of God and His statues anywhere and everywhere I am called to bring them. I have truly enjoyed my years at Logos because it has challenged me to study God's word on a far deeper level and learn about the world in more complex ways."

"I first came to Logos Online in my sixth grade year, previously having been homeschooled alongside my three wonderful brothers. I loved the first class I took here, Mrs. Salmon’s Introduction to Latin, and have been with Logos ever since. I spent my childhood in various places throughout the US and Logos has been a constant over those moves. I am blessed to have made many good friends here throughout the years. The time has gone so quickly, and I have really enjoyed everything from Robin Hood day with Mrs. Roberts to Pictionary with Mr. Merkle.
Outside of academics, I love music, culinary arts, painting, and gardening. My main extracurricular activity has always been music. I vividly remember my dad taking me to see symphony orchestra performances when I was four years old, and from then on I wanted to play the violin. "Hello, hello! I was born and raised in the great state of Texas and I now live in a very tiny town called Rule, where there is only a gas station and nothing but fields surrounding it. Nonetheless, I have called it home for the past 6 years. I have been blessed to be the oldest of six kids which always makes for an eventful household, thanks to my three rambunctious brothers. I have been blessed to have been homeschooled my whole life. I joined LOS in 7th grade and has since been one of the biggest blessings in my life. LOS developed in me a true love for learning and has taught me more about this wonderful world we live in and the Savior who created it. I want to thank my amazing parents who gave me the privilege of a solid education that glorified God. They have been nothing but encouraging in and outside of my education. I also want to thank all of my LOS teachers who have all taught me the love of Christ in their own way through teaching what they love.
Aside from my academic life, I have a deep love for baking as well as music. I discovered my love for baking when I was 16 and have continued to love it ever since. It has been my way of serving and loving my family as well as glorifying God. I have played the violin for about 7 years now and just recently I picked up the guitar and have really enjoyed it, even though it is still very much a work in progress. No matter what I am doing, I love to look for the beauty and joy in the simplest of things such as afternoon tea with my mom and sisters, coffee in my favorite cup, or dancing to Frank Sinatra while doing dishes.
Looking forward, I am excited to start this new chapter in my life. I hope to gain good job experience as well as business, whether that be finding a job in my small community, helping my dad in his work, or possibly starting a baking business of my own. My ultimate goal is to someday be a wife, homemaker, and mother, so in the meantime, I seek to continue to learn and grow to be a Proverbs 31 woman. No matter where the Lord leads me, my desire is that I can serve God and my family through the simple work of my hands. Whether that be through the pleasure of a well baked bagel, or in the raising of little ones for the kingdom of the Lord. In either case, I want to continually seek the beauty that our Creator has displayed in this mighty world we live in, one of which I have been very blessed to live in."

"What's up? I'm Kayra, a daughter of the One who created this wonderful world and a follower of His my whole life.
I was homeschooled until 2019, when I started elementary school, but then the pandemic hit. We took it as if the Lord were telling us, "Don't go out yet, I want you at home; go back to homeschooling."
Honestly, this past six months has been quite easy for me, and I can proudly say that it's because I studied at home and because my parents were—and still are—very good teachers.
After returning home, I enrolled at Logos. I'm so grateful to the Lord for allowing me to be there. The simple fact of being able to have a devotional at the beginning of each class has been a great blessing.
There are many things to say about Logos, but I'd like to mention a few. For example, being an online school, I've been able to enjoy the journeys the Lord has given us these past years. I also want to highlight its foundations; I love its approach to learning. The Integrated Humanities course has greatly helped me in my understanding of the Bible. There was one book in particular that sparked a great interest in me, and that interest has led me to want to learn more and more.
Another thing I want to highlight is the teachers. I would like to mention Mrs. Sara Enns and Mr. Alex Doyle. It's clear that the teaching not only has a purpose, but can also be fun, although it does require discipline.
Now, speaking about myself, I honestly don't think I have accomplished much in life yet, but my goals at this time are to grow in the Lord, learn to be a woman of Christ, and be able to help others. I ask for your prayers as I walk with Christ and that I may reach where He wants to lead me."

"I’ve lived in Salem, Oregon my whole life and am blessed with an incredible family that I love so much. I was homeschooled for kindergarten and then went to a small country school until 8th grade. Freshman year I started meeting at a co-op, and since then I have been doing Logos Online School. My four years at Logos have been incredible, and I have grown and learned so much. Classical education is a breath of fresh air and is so edifying. I have read so many insightful books and have gained knowledge from such incredible thinkers. I’ve loved diving into books of the Bible as well and now look at history with a totally different perspective thanks to Mr. Goode. Every class has taught me so much, and I am grateful for all the hard work my teachers have put in to make it so. The Lord has truly blessed Logos, and I am so thankful for all He has done in my life through it.
I’ve attended Emmanuel Bible Church for as long as I can remember and know the importance of gathering together with God’s people. From iron sharpening iron to encouraging fellowship and convicting teaching, I’ve learned so much. I had the privilege of helping lead Awana this year and went on a mission trip to Kenya last summer. I love seeing the Lord work and continue to be humbled as I learn more about who God is.
The Lord has given me a love of competition, and I was able to play three fun years of tennis. I’ve gotten to know my team well and have learned the importance of having fun despite hardships. I did cross country for two years and occasionally ran on my own. I also love to crochet and have recently gotten into amigurumi. I’ve come a long way since COVID and have upgraded my skills since teaching myself through YouTube videos.
Looking ahead, I plan to either attend a local community college in the fall, pursuing a degree in social work, or start full-time as a Direct Support Professional. I’ve learned to live one day at a time and to trust that God will work all things together for my good. He will continue to guide my steps and care for me in the years to come."

"My educational journey has had many ups and downs, but it has been clear that God had a plan for everything. I started in public school from Kindergarten through 9th grade, where I participated in FCA, track, and cross country. In 10th grade my parents made the transition for our family to do Logos Online school. It was definitely a tough change at the start and had its struggles along the way. Although I initially was disheartened leaving my friends at public school, God has made it extremely clear that switching to homeschool was a superb decision. Throughout online school, I have been able to run on a homeschool cross country team and even help start my own homeschool track team that led to many other homeschoolers finally having the opportunity to run track! I have also grown greatly in my sanctification and have deeply enjoyed the Christ-centered teaching and wonderful books we read at Logos. In addition, I also started my own YouTube channel during this school transition which has grown to over 85,000 subscribers. In all of this, it is clear it would have not been possible to do without God, and I am glad I switched to Logos!"

"I was born at University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA. My parents put me in half-day kindergarten when I was 5 years old, and then decided not to continue with public education. Draw your own conclusions. My mother then homeschooled my 3 siblings and I. When I was 11 years old, my family and I moved to Chicago, IL, and my life completely changed. After a brief period in middle school at another online school part time, my parents moved us into LOS, because we had been using a similar curriculum for our homeschool studies, and my parents decided it was the best option for us. It has truly been a blessing to me and my family, being able to get to know all these kids from all over the world, read incredible literature, study fascinating animals, and discuss various theological topics.
While I was here at LOS, I was able to be a part of the Chess club, the Middle Earth Book club, and was able to found the Inklings Book club and run it for the last two years. I also tutored elementary schoolers outside of LOS (which helped me discover teaching was not in the books for me). I was on the swim team every summer in Chicago, and won many races (lost some too of course). I frequented my local Jiu-Jitsu gym, earned a blue belt, and then moved to Idaho. I now play rugby, which I love, and raise ducks for eggs. I love folk dance, and attend all the dancing events I can possibly manage. I am also the only member of my Club America chapter who is registered to vote, which makes me the resident old guy.
I plan on attending the University of Idaho in the fall to study Pre-Veterinary medicine, and then eventually get a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and start my own clinic. I hope to find a nice gal and raise my own children to be good God-fearing young men and women like the friends I have made here at LOS."

"Being home-schooled was honestly one of the best things for me. Although I’ve been familiar with nothing else, enrolling in Logos Online School in 8th grade was a huge turning point in my education. The classes were challenging, but they got me to push my limits earning the gold tassel, which I’m super proud of. I was unsure what to expect knowing I’d be sitting in front of a computer for many hours a day, but it turned out to be an incredible experience. The friendships I formed and the academic rigor I encountered there were pivotal. Logos Online didn’t just prepare me academically; it offered a community and a support system that pushed me to strive for excellence. I owe much of my success to my teachers who helped guide me along the way while making learning engaging and meaningful. Knowing that I can’t relate to a single horror story my public school friends share about their teachers makes me beyond grateful!
Logos Online was more than just an online school; it became a second home. Even though everything was in front of a screen, I made some great friends from all over the country and some even international! The friendships I formed with like-minded followers of Christ made not only my classroom experience more meaningful, but my personal life as well. Besides my full-time class load, I had a blast being part of the art club and chess club. These times outside of the regular class schedule let me express myself creatively and sharpen my strategic skills while having so much fun. In addition to writing, producing, and releasing my own music, I also was able to play varsity soccer and varsity baseball at my local high school, which taught me teamwork and helped me make awesome friends in my local area.
As I gear up for Cedarville University this fall to study Marketing, I can’t help but think about how Logos Online School has set me up for what’s next. I’ve learned to be independent and disciplined, skills I know will be crucial in college and beyond. Having the chance to shape my learning around what I’m good at and what I love has made me really passionate about my next step. I’m super excited to start this new chapter, knowing that the foundation I’ve built is strong."

I was homeschooled until the age of thirteen, when my parents made the decision to place me into Logos Online. Over these past five years, I have been so incredibly blessed to have learned so much my brain can barely handle it, make amazing new friends, be taught by the greatest teachers (except my mom of course), and grow in the knowledge and love of my Savior.
Ever since I can remember, I have had a deep love for art, and I have been a self-taught artist since I could hold a pencil. I spend a decent amount of my free time sketching or painting, and I specialize in portraits of people. Music has also been a giant part of my life, and when I was six years old, my parents enrolled me in piano lessons. For eleven years, I have spent almost every day learning more and more about music, and growing in my skill in piano. I also love doing anything outside or even just being outdoors, especially during sunset. I will always stand by the fact that my hometown's sunsets are the most beautiful in all the world, and I will always hold them dear to my heart.
After high school I plan to attend community college, where I will earn my associates degree in pre med and general studies. Once I receive both of those degrees, I will move to continue my studies at state university (go Huskers!), where I will major in dentistry. I am so excited to begin this new chapter of my life, and to follow in the path the Lord paves out for me."

Towards the end of 6th grade my dad said that there was a relatively new online school he had heard about from a show or article that Pastor Doug Wilson (of whom he deeply admires) had mentioned and he said we should check it out. I wasn't sold until he said there was no school on Fridays. We joined that year and never looked back.
LOS has, amongst many things, helped me strengthen my foundation in the Lord and taught me how to know what I believe and why.
I am so grateful to my parents for everything they have done for me including staying up late to help with homework and spending countless hours with me discussing topics from class or essay questions I needed another opinion on. They're amazing.
I have been taking ballet since I was 9 and currently teach it to kids of all different ages. It's the best! I'm so blessed to be able to watch my students grow and mature not only in their ability to dance, but also in their faith and character - and knowing God has me playing a small role in that is amazing.
I have a strong interest in many different things including psychology, languages, economics, and politics (to name a few ;) ). Ultimately, I hope to be a wife and a mom someday, but I truthfully don't know what God has planned for my life... I guess we will see!
Regardless, I'm excited to follow Him and I will always be grateful for all the experiences and education I've received."

"I was born and raised in Brainerd, MN for the first seven years of my life. For the last year of that time my dad was spending 4 days a week working around random SD counties putting in road signs. Finally, he moved us to SD where we have lived for the past 10 years. Throughout that time, I was homeschooled, along with my siblings (6 at the time). Homeschooling was really fun, and we grasped the material well, but it was challenging to find increasingly complex material for us. We discovered Logos in 2020 and all of us kids have been enrolled into it starting freshman year thus far. Finding Logos was a huge blessing for us, it was full of challenging material, Godly discussions, and good reads."

"Born on March 31, 2008, I moved from New Jersey to Santa Clarita, California when I turned the ripe age of 1. I spent my time from preschool to the end of middle school in a Classical Christian school, which ripened my education vibrantly. From starting off learning Latin in the 3rd grade, to being in an art program for the entirety of my grammar years, I was no stranger to challenges in my education. But challenges wouldn’t be just from academics and daily homework from multiple classes, but also through the way my brain functioned. I found out I was on the AUDHD spectrum around 5th or 6th grade (pardon my forgetfulness on the exact time). The school I went to in Santa Clarita gave me great support and help for my struggles with distracting conversations through its already-robust support for mental disabilities. Incidents still happened with my tendencies to leap to anger, but through that support I ended up making a good amount of friends and getting plenty of opportunities. I gained an acting role in my school’s Christmas musical, played in our softball team for a season (getting 2nd in a tournament), and also got second in an art competition.
However, with my mom’s job moving to London, we made the decision to change jobs and move to Carlsbad. I would’ve gone off to another physical Christian Classical school, but they either didn't have the sort of amenities that my old school had, were too far away, or just didn't let me in. So with no other physical choice to go with, we stumbled upon Logos Online School. And boy, was that a splendid decision to make– and not only because my mom’s job there nosedived and made us move to the beautiful Hayden, Idaho a year later– but also because of all the friends I’ve made along the way. And, on top of that, the only off-topic convos (when they happen) are through the chat, so I can actually focus on the lesson and just... not read it! The mute button is a revolutionary technology for my focus. Through my interests, the environment of my classes, and even a few DnD sessions along the way, I have forged bonds that will last a lifetime! I've been greeting and performing in the choir (and another play) through my church, attending youth group and making even more friends that way.
I love to solve problems, draw, voice-act, make music, write, create stories and characters: anything creative is right up my alley! And kayaking... and birds... and playing video games... I have a plethora of interests.
I’m excited to start off my next chapter this fall– heading off to Union University to study computer science, and maybe make a few things along the way! I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store, and I'll be happy to be placed wherever he wants me. Because I'm certain that he has good plans for me."

"The first 12 years of my life were spent in Sioux Falls, SD, before I moved to Moscow, ID, a week before my 12th birthday. I was homeschooled from preschool through 12th grade. For the first seven years, I attended a weekly co-op called Living Legacy Academy, and for six of those years, I also attended Classical Conversations. After moving to Moscow, I began attending Logos Online School in 7th grade.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the helpful teaching and insight of my wonderful teachers. I especially want to thank Mr. Carson Spratt, his classes were by far the most beneficial to me, and his teaching will leave a lasting impact on my life.
I also want to give a big thank you to Mrs. Lauren Trotter, my Latin 1 teacher in 7th grade. She was such a blessing as a teacher, she genuinely cared about each of her students, and I always looked up to her. Even though she is no longer with us, she has left a lasting impact on me and many other students at Logos Online.
Attending this school has been such a blessing, I will always cherish the memories I’ve made here. I made so many wonderful friends through this school, though we may be far apart, I am so thankful to have met so many wonderful people all throughout the country.
What I am most thankful for is the fact that attending this school has brought me much closer to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Whether it was through friendships or teachers, I have learned so much about God’s word, and I am ready to put that to good use in whatever I end up doing in the future. I am not entirely sure what that is yet, but I am excited to see where the Lord leads me."

"A scattering of vultures scrape the sky with worn out wings, sailing like a fleet of ships on a wave of wind. A barren branch stretches its fingers towards them, and one of the birds swoops and settles on the rough, leafless wood. It expands itself, reaching towards the sun, its full wingspan is awe-inspiring and terrifying at the same time. Behind the treeline, corncobs rattle, to the south my woods, to the north a cluster of pines, creating the boundaries of my little world. Here I’ve heard the trees sing, watched Winter take his throne and seen Spring push him off. I’ve howled alongside packs of coyotes, chuffed at deer and screamed with the hawks. I’ve pressed myself under the waters of our shallow creek and come up gasping and giggling with my siblings. The state is Ohio, but this forgotten valley? This is Oriander, our kingdom: birthplace of our adventures, brewer of our childhood. I love my siblings, I love this world, and I love the Maker. He is so good to me, and He’s written my story so well.
I’m blessed with a big family: two incredible parents and six amazing siblings. Three years ago, my mom was certain we’d all graduate from Classical Conversations. Today four of my brothers and sisters are at a local Christian school and three of us attend Logos. So much has changed, but it’s good. I love LOS; I have knowledgeable teachers, brilliant creative classmates, and real grades! ;) I am so grateful that I get to be forced to read books like Dante’s Inferno, study latin, and write a senior thesis. I adore debates and antics with my peers, and the hilarity that ensues in the Newspaper club. This year, I’ve been blessed to lead the Lion’s Digest as General Editor, I have the absolute best team, and I am awe-struck at their creativity. My gracious parents also gave me permission to start a bernedoodle breeding program called Cairn Ridge Doodles. Throughout the past few years I’ve raised 41 puppies, driven to the vet more times than I can count, and laughed/cried/screamed/prayed with my sister KK as we battled abscesses, tube feeding, muck, mud, death, new life, and everything in between. I’ve hit pause on breeding as I’ve been accepted into New Saint Andrew college, which is over 2,000 miles away. I hope to get a great education, marry a great man, and have a great deal of children. However, I’ve been given a wonderful church, a hilarious family, an incredible school and although the days were long, the years were short, and it’s hard to leave. But that’s a blessing, because it means I’m leaving a GOOD thing. Thank you God, thank you Dad and Mom, thank you Piper, KK, Derek, Paisley, Sheppard, and Pippa. Thank you to every one of my teachers and classmates and Newspaper Club members. Thank you for making these short years hard to leave."

"I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada until God led us to Georgetown, Kentucky a few years ago.
I attended public school for Kindergarten until my parents realized the Lord was calling us to homeschooling. I have been homeschooled ever since, and my little sister joined our studies when she was old enough. With high school fast approaching, we needed a different plan. By the grace of God, my mom heard of Logos Online School, and after much reluctance I agreed, and thank the Lord I did! After grade 9 being such a success, we knew that it was the Lord's plan for the rest of my high school years. As much as it has been one of the most challenging things the Lord has given me to do, it has been the biggest blessing and I couldn't have asked for a better high school education and experience. Not many students get such a solid education with a Christian foundation, and I couldn't be more grateful. I have not only grown in knowledge, but in my faith. My teachers are part of the reason I am who I am today, and I have made so many friends across the globe I wouldn't have met otherwise.
Outside of school, I love playing volleyball, sewing, crocheting, reading, listening to podcasts, and occasionally playing the piano for the worship team at my church.
I am not planning on attending college in the fall, but I am hoping to work. My ultimate goal is to be a wife and a mother to many, but until the Lord brings a godly man into my life, I pray I am fruitful and faithful in the seasons God has put me in, and to grow in both wisdom and understanding of the Word, and practical homemaking skills.
I wouldn't have been able to graduate without my Heavenly Father watching over me and the love and support of my parents. I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store next!"

"I have attended private school and public school for most of my life up until 8th grade, when my parents discovered Logos Online through some friends and decided to enroll. Logos has helped me mature in my walk with Jesus and has opened my eyes to see the truth about who we are as humans and what our goal as Christians should be. Logos has been a useful way to do school and also spend more time with things that I am most passionate about outside of school. I am very busy throughout the school year, where I swim competitively for a local club team, lifeguard, and do a variety of other things that cater towards school or my personal development. I have also earned many awards in high school, most notably, I officially achieved the rank of Eagle Scout as a newly turned 16-year-old. "I was born and spent my early years growing up in England before making the move to Canada with my family where I have resided in Ottawa, Ontario ever since. I've always enjoyed the opportunity to have new experiences and expand my knowledge through education and research. In the year of 2022, I transitioned my education to Logos Online School to commence my high school years. Logos has proved to have been a great experience for me personally, and I've enjoyed the chance to have conducted my learning through a classical approach and Christian perspective, which has undoubtedly enriched my life. Logos has provided many enjoyable classes and many of my teachers have been excellent and very avid towards the subjects which they taught, making a fundamental difference in the learning process. One of the greatest pleasures of attending Logos has been the opportunity to learn alongside my neighboring American counterparts and gain experience and insight into some of the elements of their proud culture and national traits, along with all the contributions that they have brought to the international community. Throughout the past years, I've always enjoyed fishing as a pastime along with taking on physical challenges and exploring nature and all its beauty. Upon reflection of the past four years and all that it has entailed, I take pleasure in the moments and occurrences that Logos has afforded me and which I may use to my advantage later on. Looking ahead to the future, I meditate upon the words of Winston Churchill in which he stated that, "Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.""

"Hello there! My name is Joseph Knapp. I was born in Bellevue, Washington, and now live in Tacoma, Washington. I have two amazing, supportive parents, four hilarious younger brothers (ranging from age 15 to 2), and have been blessed with 18 years of life experience.
At first, I was public-schooled up until 7th grade, and then my parents decided to take my education into their own hands. I started doing homeschool through Classical Conversations up until my junior year of high school, and for the past two years, I've been doing Logos Online School. I've met a lot of really awesome people, and the teachers that I've had were truly incredible. I am incredibly grateful to all the faculty here who have made a significant impact in my life.
During my high school years, I competed in Speech and Debate through the biggest Christian Forensics league, called the NCFCA, and most of my awards and/or accolades were received there. I have done exceptionally well, especially in the speech Category of Apologetics, where I get a random question related to the Christian faith with a limited amount of time to prepare. At the National Championship last June, I placed 15th in the nation, and am looking to place even higher this next summer.
I also enjoy going on runs, hanging out with friends whenever I can, and shooting hoops with the other young men at my speech club."

I spent much of my childhood moving between a couple of states including Virginia, Florida and Nevada, before eventually returning to Virginia in 2019. Throughout those years, my education took on many different forms. I attended public charter school, private school, and eventually began homeschooling in 5th grade by my mother. The Lord led us to Logos in the beginning of 7th grade. Attending Logos ended up being a turning point in my life. The school provided a strong foundation for both my academic growth and my faith in the Lord. Looking back, I can clearly see how much Logos influenced who I am today.
Outside of academics, I enjoy reading and spending time outdoors. I especially enjoy surfing, swimming, and other outdoor activities. I am a certified professional Divemaster and currently serve on the Virginia Beach Marine Rescue Team. I am also working toward obtaining my Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification as I continue pursuing opportunities to serve others through rescue and emergency response. "Deeply committed to classical education, my parents enrolled me at a two-year-old Classical Christian School in Seattle, WA (I was in the third class of kindergarten). I grew up as the school grew up, and eventually left it after my seventh grade year, when my family moved from Seattle to North Idaho. I continued at a Classical Christian School in Coeur d'Alene but left after my Junior year, making Senior year my one and only year at Logos Online School. I have so loved the freedom, time, and opportunities that online schooling has allowed, and have enjoyed my single year as a homeschooler.
I have always been a theatrical student. Joining LOS enabled my family to also participate in our local NCFCA Speech and Debate club, where I've enjoyed theatrically presenting Scripture and impromptu speeches, and have won several awards for my speeches. This experience has fit into my love for words, writing, stories, which first began when I was "knee-high to a grasshopper" and would tell myself stories in bed. I have since written many novels and stories of various kinds.
I will attend New St. Andrews in the fall. My goal is to get their Bachelor's as well as complete their Master's in Fine Arts program. I intend to write novels that display the Scriptural redemption arc and speak the gospel truth in engaging, eloquent ways to a broken world. "I've done almost all the types of education: homeschool, public school, online school, co-op, and LOS. I’ve enjoyed pieces and parts of all of them. I had an amazing, sweet teacher in public school in kindergarten. An amazing Mom for 2nd and 3rd grades. A lovely woman who made her own little classroom in her home for 4th grade. An amazing Mom for 5th and 6th. An amazing group of LOS teachers, who have loved God, loved their subject, and loved me! I still have a recipe Mr. Deacon gave us. I got to stay at Mrs. Robert's house last year. I still remember Mr. Goode possibly being a vampire. I got to give a Happy Birthday to Ms. Parker this last year. I remember coming into Mr. Smith’s class all named Jacque (We were reading Tale of Two Cities). I remember doing Latin with Mr. Maltby. I remember the liturgy that Dr. G-P gave us. I remember Mr. Rauch pretend singing ‘the hills are alive’. I remember that Oct 23rd or something like that is Mole Day from Mrs. Yeager’s chemistry class. I remember Mr. Merkle showed us a tortilla he had bitten into the shape of the batman logo. I remember the Gregorian chant video that Dr. Soderberg showed us. I remember Mrs. Hedderly’s Halloween costume last year. I remember when Mr. McQuinn told us to stand on our chairs. I remember Mrs. M’s devotions. I remember the classical music videos that Dr. Olsson showed us. I have so many lovely memories with LOS.

"I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. I was in public school from JK to grade two. I then went to a private school followed by being homeschooled by my mom. After that, I attended a classical school run by my church for grade nine. I then went to self-paced homeschooling for grade ten and eleven. Finally, I ended with full-time Logos for my senior year. All of that to say, my educational journey has been quite diverse. It has taught me to adapt and be thankful in whatever situation the Lord puts me in. I am so thankful to my parents for all they have done for me. My mom always tried to make sure I was getting the right and best education for me. Logos has been such an amazing experience. It has taught me to push myself and strive for excellence. My teachers have really helped me become a life long learner. Outside of school I love to be active and be outside (especially in the snow). I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding, weight training/calisthenics, and watching basketball. I come from a very musical family so playing music and listening to it is a very big part of my life. I've always been very eclectic when it comes to my music taste, ranging from heavy metal and rap to classical and country. I also have a passion for evangelism. I love going out with my church and other organizations to share the good news of Jesus Christ with lost souls. After high school, I am, Lord willing, going to get my certificate as a PSW and work at a long term care home. "I was born in the Raleigh area, where I’ve lived my whole life. After a rough kindergarten year in public school, my parents decided to homeschool, and my sister and I attended Classical Conversations for eight years. After that, we both switched to LOS full time starting my freshman year.
I’ve never been much of a sports guy, but I do love the outdoors, especially hiking, biking, skiing, and camping. Nothing beats spending time in God’s creation. I’ve also recently picked up spikeball, and I’m considering joining a league in college if possible.
My main extracurricular has been musical theater, and for the past nine years I’ve been a part of Spiritual Twist Productions. STP is a local Christian theater group whose aim is to spread the gospel through musical performances. They put on twelve shows every year for all age groups, which range from Bible stories, to rewritten classic tales, to original stories by students. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to be in shows like Daniel (as Meshach), Joseph (as Dan), and the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe (as Tumnus). My favorite role I’ve had was in my most recent show, “Gatsby: A Prodigal Story,” where I played Nick Carraway. Though I’ve never been crazy about theater, the thing that has really kept me there is the community. As a homeschooler, having the opportunity to spend time with other like-minded Christians and use our talents for God’s glory has been a huge blessing in my life, and I’ve made so many great friends over the years.
This fall I will be attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte for a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, possibly electromechanical, and I’m looking forward to what God has planned for my future."

"I was born and raised in the central valley of California, surrounded by ag, dairies, citrus, and small town life. I was homeschooled my whole life and joined Logos in 8th grade, where I completed the last 5 years of my education. I come from a family of all girls, having 3 sisters, and I am the third in line. I come from a very close-knit family, and being together was always the priority. It never mattered where we were as long as we had each other. In December of 2024, I lost my dad in a tragic accident a few days before Christmas. I was able to take some time away from school, and my teachers and the staff here at Logos helped and supported me as I worked to get caught up and finish the year strong. Having so many things get put into perspective, one being what a blessing homeschooling is, but also this school. Not many schools, teachers, and classmates will rally, pray, and support you like here at Logos. I hope that never gets taken for granted.
When I wasn't doing school, you could find me riding or training my horses, playing sports, baking, babysitting, and being outside with my dogs. I started playing soccer and swimming as well as riding horses when I was 5 years old. I competed in rodeos for a few years, then stopped at the age of 9 to retire my horse and then focus on breeding and training horses. I played soccer until I was 10. Over the past 6 years, I have solely focused on swimming. I’ve done a summer rec league for 13 years and a year-round club for 6 years. After my dad's passing, I took a season off and decided to stop club swim altogether. I was blessed to be able to join my local junior college’s team, where I currently train.
After I graduate, I plan to attend College of the Sequoias, the 2-year junior college where I currently swim. I will continue my swimming career and plan to get a degree in Business. I am working towards starting my own Event/Wedding planning business and living here in this area, Visalia, CA, with the end goal of becoming a wife and mother."

I plan to attend Boise Bible College, in Boise, ID this fall, and I fully believe that this school will have improved my skills, which I plan to develop further, and continue to use in the years soon to come. For everything this school has provided me, I am thankful."

"I have been Home schooled for the majority of my life. I joined Logos in seventh grade and continued through my freshmen year. After my freshman year we decided to move and I wanted to try public school so I could meet people and try something new. My sophomore year was spent in a large public high school but I felt something was missing from my education. The next year I returned to Logos to take two classes while still taking classes at public school. With my senior year approaching I needed to choose which school I wanted to graduate from, and after lots of thinking and prayer I felt Logos was the best choice for me.
Throughout my life I have done many sports. I have danced and cheered, played basketball and volleyball, I even tried cross country, although I later decided that was not my best decision. However, the two sports I truly enjoy, and still do, are swimming and track and field. Other things I enjoy doing include baking (I started a business with my friend over the summer), playing board games, and spending time outside."

"I started in Las Vegas, which feels fitting because life’s been a bit of a gamble ever since. I was raised in Boulder City, Nevada, where things are a little quieter, but the story still picked up pace. I was homeschooled until 7th grade, when I started Logos Online and apparently never left. From the early Adobe days and classes with Mr. Spratt and Mrs. Trotter, to later years with Mr. Rauch, Mr. Smith, and Mrs. Mutart, I’ve seen eras come and go. At this point, I’m basically a Logos historian, an original member, a real OG.
Somewhere along the way, I moved to Tennessee, grew up a little (debatable), and somehow made it to senior year. What I didn’t expect was how much the people would matter. I’ve been lucky to make genuinely incredible friends here, most of whom have already graduated and moved on to bigger, better, and probably more responsible things. Their impact on me is something I’ll carry long after this chapter closes.
Logos gave me more than just an education, it gave me moments. From small classes with three other people (1 of whom was my sister), to the chaos of fighting for a spot in the “good” classes before they filled up, to living through COVID already online (we were ahead of the curve, obviously), to finally meeting people in real life at YEC, it’s been a strange, unique, and honestly unforgettable experience.
Every year-end celebration meant a little more than the last, and now, looking back, it all feels a bit bittersweet. Life looks very different than it did when I was 12, and there are moments I’d go back to in a second if I could, and ones that I wouldn't.
I’m incredibly grateful for my teachers, my friends, and a Christ-centered education that shaped not just how I learn, but who I am. And while this season is ending, I guess the only thing left to say is: I was here, I made it, and I'm thankful. I want to thank Justin, Annie, and Scarlett, some of my closest friends ever. I want to thank the late Mrs. Trotter (the best Latin teacher anyone could ask for), Mr. Spratt for unforgettable first years, Mr. Rauch for a great friendship with his family, Mr. Smith for being an amazing role model to me as a young man, and Mrs. Mutart for letting me drive her crazy."

"I was born in Baltimore, Maryland, into a military family. I grew up across the United States and overseas in Germany, and I believe that experience gave me a perspective few people have on the world. I spent much of my childhood on my favorite activity, bird watching. I love nature and would spend hours in the woods documenting what I saw. As a result, I learned important lessons about being alone, about the beauty of nature, and why we need to protect it. I picked up lots of hobbies in middle school and early high school. I learned acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, and piano, played recreational football, soccer, and baseball, and competed in competitive chess. More recently, I began training Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, and participating in speech and debate. I learned less from the activities themselves and more from the challenges they posed, but I think, as a military kid, I always knew that I wanted to serve. My future plans are to attend college, participate in ROTC, be commissioned into the military as an officer, attend law school, and run for public office. I view my purpose to be working to protect and restore my nation to the glory of God."

"I was born in St. Louis, Missouri, but I have spent most of my life in the Niagara Region of Ontario (about 20 minutes from Niagara Falls). I have been homeschooled for most of my education, and I am so thankful to have parents who have invested so much in my schooling. I have three amazing younger siblings, and one of the advantages to homeschooling has been being able to spend more time with them as well as with my parents.
I have been taking Integrated Humanities through LOS since the seventh grade, and this past year I joined LOS full-time. I appreciate that LOS has added structure to my schedule while still allowing me to enjoy the flexibility that comes with education at home. LOS has helped me grow by pushing me to read challenging books, helping me to think about difficult questions, and encouraging me to apply my faith in Christ to every area of my life.
Outside of school, I play piano and cello, and I have enjoyed playing cello with my local youth orchestra throughout high school. I have also had the opportunity to play both instruments in worship at my church, and I have accompanied a local children's choir for the past two years. I plan to continue playing in church next year, and I hope I will be able to use music to bless others wherever I go!
I hope to spend next year pursuing my study of the cello and gaining some work experience while I seek to discern how I can best serve the Lord and my neighbors in this next stage of my life."

"I have spent most of my life so far in Pensacola, on Florida's coast. My siblings and I spent the majority of our schooling at private classical schools, much like Logos, until I pulled out for my junior and senior year to attend LOS. I never would have imagined graduating from an online school. Yet here I am, after two years of Logos, and I have loved it so much.
One of the main reasons I switched to online is because I have a love for training and working with dogs, which I had much more time for once I was schooling from home. I also wanted to be able to fit in more of the things I enjoyed. My parents ensured that we had a very musical upbringing, and I have performed countless hours in violin recitals, orchestra performances, and guitar jams. Besides that, my life wouldn't be complete without hours and hours of games with friends, running, working out, volleyball, and skateboarding.
Now, I am approaching a new chapter in my life, as I plan to attend New Saint Andrews in the fall. I am so thrilled that I am getting this opportunity, and am excited to see what the Lord has in store."

"I was born in Laramie, WY, and I have lived in Texas and Nebraska as well. I am the oldest of eleven children and we attend a faithful church here in Kearney NE. My dad is a helicopter pilot for the hospital here and my mom watches and homeschools the kids. My parents have always trained us to walk with the Lord and I am indebted to them for all of the love and care they have shown me. I have been homeschooled most of my life until my high school years. High school was around the corner and my parents graciously decided to allow us to attend Logos.
I have been immensely blessed by my time here at Logos and while I am excited to move on to a new chapter in life, I would be lying if I said I won't miss this. The education here is phenomenal and should the Lord bless me with a family and the financial means to do so, I intend to send my children to Logos as well. I have been so encouraged by my teachers and classmates and the Lord has used this education to sanctify and grow me. Thank you to my parents first and foremost for all the sacrifice and support you have given me in my time here. This education has been a huge blessing and I am thankful for the investment you guys have put in me. Thank you! Thank you to all my teachers and classmates who made this education a wonderful experience! May God bless you all to walk with you all the days of your life!
I worked for an agronomist for two summers and now I work for a Christian moving company. I currently work with a lot of good guys and I am thankful that the Lord has put me here. My plan right now is to continue working for the moving company and pray that the Lord would guide me in making a decision for my long term career. I am considering being a first responder, aviation pilot, and maybe a rancher for my long term career. Whatever direction the Lord leads me, I would like to get married and have lots of children. I love kids and enjoy spending time with my younger siblings. I love my family, friends, traveling, the outdoors, rainy days, morning sunrises, evening sunsets, the sound of children running around the house, resting after a good day's work, coffee, homemade food, cheesecake, a good steak, my guitar, music, flying, my truck, and a good book.
My time here at Logos has been wonderful and I am grateful for everything everyone here has done for me. Thank you all!"

"Hey there! I was born in Irapuato, GTO in Mexico to two Christ-loving parents who were missionaries. When I was about six, our family moved to Dallas, Texas to be closer to family and I have lived here ever since. I was homeschooled up until 7th grade, then I officially started attending full time at Logos Online School. I have really appreciated my time at Logos. The Lord has blessed me with countless opportunities to grow both in my educational pursuits and my relationships. I am very blessed to have met my closest friends through Logos, and I am deeply thankful for how God has used the teachers there to challenge me in my beliefs and how to defend them. My parents have really blessed me with an appreciation for food, so most of my free time (including summers) is spent in the kitchen feeding my family copious amounts of gluten, sugar, and bagels (still working on those...). When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m usually locked in to watching the Dallas Stars and arguing hockey stats, facts, and (depending on how well the Stars played that night) predicting the Stanley Cup matchups with my dad and brother. I have always had a taste for the unique and the different, so my music tastes over the years have evolved and continue to change, but I always go back to jazz! During my freshman and sophomore summers, I worked as a teacher at a children’s culinary school and in my last two years of high school I worked as a piano tuner (dramatic shift, I know) and completely fell in love with it. Now my post-highschool plans involve getting my culinary certification from Redeemer School of the Arts in Monroe, Louisiana! I am incredibly excited to have this opportunity to study the culinary arts from a skill standpoint, as well as a theological and biblical point of view, and I highly recommend checking the school out!"

"I was born on January 22, 2008 in Houston, TX. I am the middle child of three children and the only boy. My family and I moved to Pleasanton, TX in 2011 and we have lived on a farm ever since. I have always loved the outdoors and sports. When I was 3, I fell in love with soccer and have been playing ever since. I began homeschooling in third grade. In 7th grade, I joined FEAST sports, now SA Patriots, and have been blessed by their soccer and track program. I have been a hurdler since middle school, and just this year decided to give pole vaulting a go! I also was the captain for the SA Patriots soccer team my senior year.
I am very passionate about and involved in my church and youth group. God always comes first in my life. I lead church wide devotionals, help with VBS, participate in Leadership Training for Christ, and have even preached a Sunday sermon. I am excited to continue growing my faith with Aggies for Christ at Texas A&M.
I have been involved with 4H since I was in third grade. I have shown lambs, participated in shooting sports, both rifles and archery, and most recently, photography. My photo won Grand Champion in the District 12 4H photography contest in 2025.
My family and friends are also extremely important to me, and I love planning get-togethers and outings with them.
I was offered the PSA program through Texas A&M University. I will be attending Corpus Christi A&M in the fall and will transfer to College Station my sophomore year. I will major in Architecture and plan on getting my Masters and architectural license through A&M. With God at the center of my life, I know I can achieve great things!"

"Hello, old beans! As a pastor's child, I've moved around quite a bit, but for the past 8 years my home has been El Cajon, California. I am the third of four children and thus I've done nearly every type of school. From Classical Conversations to public school, private Christian school to homeschool. However, nothing compared to Logos Online School. My favorite pastimes are sewing vintage inspired garments, exploring nature with my siblings, watching the sun set, reading good books, baking for those I love, singing in the car/shower/anywhere I happen to be at the moment, and drinking tea. I've grown to have a special fondness for classic literature. I've traipsed through the works of many different authors. Among those are a few of my favorites: Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, P.G Wodehouse, Anthony Trollope, C.S Lewis, and J.R.R Tolkien... I may or may not be a bit of an Anglophile. I am eternally grateful for parents who have raised me to appreciate the gifts I've been given. From my mother, I've learned to appreciate the beauty of creation, both the simple and the magnificent. From my father, I've learned to take things as they come and put my best foot forward. Most importantly, my parents have raised me to be a faithful daughter of Christ. I am also thankful for my siblings: Elias, Jillian, and Luke. They've been three of my best friends and the greatest playmates. I know I can always count on them to embark on any adventure with me.
A tremendous thanks to my wonderful LOS teachers all of whom made high school an amazing experience. I never knew Calculus could be so fun until I joined Mrs. Hedderly's class, nor that singing about First Friday was such an important part of the week until Econ & Gov with Mr. Thighe. Public speaking was a daunting beast before Mr. Spratt's Rhetoric class, and many great books would have continued to be overlooked by me if it weren't for any of my Integrated Humanities classes.
I am thrilled to be attending New College Franklin in the fall. I plan to study Classical Liberal Arts and hopefully music. I don't know what I'll do or where I'll go after college, but I hope to glorify God in whatever I do."

"Education- I attended public school until third grade, when my mother had left her job to homeschool my younger sister and me; a calling that she believed the Lord had given her. During my final year of middle school, my parents decided to enroll me in Logos Online for high school education. My freshman year was a rocky start; instead of one teacher, I now had several. The workload became substantial, but like my fellow students, I adapted.
What Logos has Taught me- What I have learned in Logos far surpasses the academics. I have learned to see God in creation, literature, science, mathematics, and language, all of which we learn to fulfill our nature as Imago Dei. Most importantly, Logos has left an impact upon me that we live in a broken world marked by lies, pain, and suffering. It has prepared me to face these things, not merely intellectually, but spiritually. To be rooted in reality, and to face the world, in the words of Doug Wilson, a “dragon-slayer.” The rigorous study in humanities, along with my teachers, who God has put to lead and instruct me in wisdom and knowledge, Mr. Sumpter, Mr. Litwin, and Dr. Olsson, has shaped my mind and faith, and well-prepared me for the world I am about to enter.
Life Outside of Logos and Future- My life outside of Logos consists of being an instructor at Han’s Martial Arts, playing soccer in a small club, and powerlifting (even though I’m not that big). This fall, I plan to attend the community college here in El Paso, TX, and finish my associate's degree there, and head to UTEP (University of Texas at El Paso) to obtain my bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
I deeply appreciate all my teachers who have led me and instructed me. (Thank you for all the patience and grace you all have shown me.) Mr. Sumpter, Mr. Kwong, Mrs. Kochar, Mr. Maltby, Mr. Biette, Mr. Litwin, Mr. Rauch, Mr. Merkle, Mr. VanGelder, and Mr. Smith."

"I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. I attended public school until grade 8, when my parents wisely started homeschooling my sister and I. In grade 9, I started taking classes through LOS and loved it. I have been blessed by the godly examples of my teachers who have taught me that Christ is Lord over all, but especially over education. Over the past few years, God has given me a love for learning and a heart full of thankfulness for where He has placed me.
Outside of school, I spend time reading, knitting, and playing the piano. My parents gave me ample opportunity to grow a love for music. I started piano lessons at age 5 with my mom as my teacher, and now I am working on my ARCT through the Royal Conservatory of Music. I participated in the provincial piano finals a couple years ago when I was completing my level 9 piano. The Lord has also blessed me abundantly with 10 piano students of my own who love learning and music too. Lord willing, I will be launching preschool music classes over the summer as well.
In the fall, I will be attending Heritage College to study music. In the Lord’s timing, I’d like to be a wife and mother too. Ultimately, I pray that wherever the Lord leads, His name would be glorified in all I do."

"Howdy! My name is Luke Shahan. I am 18 years old, oldest of 4 and have spent my entire life in North Texas. Since the second grade I have been homeschooled, and the journey has been both unique and wonderful. In my earlier years I moved between several co-ops, but eventually found a home at Logos Online, where I have remained throughout high school. My time at Logos has been deeply influential. The education I received here helped shape my worldview, strengthened my ability to think critically, and encouraged thoughtful conversations about meaningful topics that often go far beyond the surface-level discussions common in today’s culture. I am beyond grateful for this gift especially while I live in such a dull, Godless society.
Outside of academics. I greatly enjoy the gym, volleyball, and socializing with friends. I also have an obsession with shoes, hats, and sweatshirts. However, basketball has been one of the greatest passions of my life. I first fell in love with the game at ten years old, and it has been a constant part of my life ever since. Throughout high school, I had the opportunity to compete at a high level and develop both as an athlete and as a teammate. I have been privileged to be a part of a really good team and we have won numerous games, tournaments, and trophies. By far the greatest highlight of my basketball career came last year when my team earned one of the four Division 1 Gold Balls at Nationals and finished 4th out of more than 1,200 teams. It was an unforgettable experience and I look forward to competing again at Nationals in 2026. Outside of the fun I have experienced in the game of basketball that is temporary, I have learned so many life lessons through the sport regarding camaraderie, discipline, consistency, maturity, and brotherly love that I will forever hold on to.
After graduating, I plan to attend Fire Academy and pursue my EMT and paramedic certifications. My goal is to serve my community as a firefighter in Dallas while also looking into building a small business on the side. Along with that and if the Lord wills, I really would love to continue enjoying the game of basketball, see the world, and explore creation. Oh, and of course, eat good sushi. No matter where life takes me, my greatest desire is that my life, actions, and work would ultimately honor and glorify Christ."

"I was born and raised in Fairburn, Georgia, and for most of my childhood, homeschooling was all I knew. It gave me a quiet, steady way of learning that fit me well at the time, especially as someone who’s naturally introverted. When I started high school at Logos Online School, everything felt new. I honestly wasn’t sure how it would go. Now, looking back, I’m grateful for how much this school has shaped me.
Logos pushed me academically in ways I hadn’t experienced before, but it also helped me grow in confidence. I discovered how much I enjoy writing, and I learned the importance of using my voice, even when speaking up doesn’t come easily. The Christ‑centered approach in every class encouraged me to think deeply about my faith, and many lessons sent me back to my Bible with new questions and a desire to understand more. That kind of growth is something I’ll always be thankful for.
Even though Logos is online, my teachers made learning feel alive. Their enthusiasm made classes fun, and their encouragement helped me step out of my comfort zone. I also ended up forming friendships I never expected. I used to wonder how anyone could make real connections through a screen, but the people I’ve met here have become friends I truly value and hope to keep in my life long after graduation.
Outside of schoolwork, I’ve continued exploring interests that have been with me since I was young. I’ve always been fascinated by computers, how programs work, how games are built, and how technology solves many problems. That curiosity led me to take coding courses on my own, earn several certificates, and even start a personal project. I also love art and gaming, and being part of the gaming club and esports team at Logos gave me a fun place to enjoy those passions with others.
Another interest that’s grown over the years is my love for languages and other cultures. I’ve been learning Spanish and Korean, to name a few, and I hope to keep expanding my skills. One of my goals is to study abroad someday, not just to learn more about the world, but to share what God has given me and connect with people in meaningful ways.
All of these experiences have helped me understand what I want to pursue next. I plan to major in computer science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, with a minor in computing and intelligence. I hope to create tools, programs, and experiences that genuinely help others in ways that reflect the gifts God has given me."

"I have grown up in an Air Force family my whole life, so I've always been used to uncertainty. I have travelled and lived all around the world, and have been homeschooled throughout because that provided the most flexibility. Up until 7th grade when I enrolled in Logos, my mom had been my primary teacher, so my IHA class was daunting, to say the least. I remember whining and complaining to my parents about how much I did NOT want to do an online school. However, I couldn't have been more wrong. Through Logos, apart from receiving an amazing and challenging education, I have met so many amazing Christian men and women, kept in contact with friends through my cross country move, been provided with enough time to hold a job for two years, attend a Crossfit class for a year and a half, travel all over the world, and attend clubs. Logos has also provided stability in my transitory military family. The teachers here are excellent, and are always encouraging you to reach your full potential; they're not afraid to push you harder, which I need. My past holds many adventures. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL, where I was until I was 14. Since then, I have lived in a small town called Blountstown in Florida, which is close enough to Tallahassee to be considered the greater area.
Since my time starting with LOS, I have done multiple things, such as publishing my first book, Realm of Fates, a high-fantasy novel like that of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. I have also participated in the Tallahassee Community Chorus for 3 years, and in my local 4H's Archery and Culinary Clubs, which I had stopped attending after last school year had ended.

"I was born and raised in south-eastern Wyoming. My parents own and run a family ranch and my siblings and I are the 5th generation. My parents did a wonderful job raising us to enjoy agriculture, while simultaneously instilling a love and appreciation of different cultures. I spent most of my childhood outside, dirty and barefooted, and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
I have been the president of my local 4-H club for several years now and I have shown pigs with my brothers for 10 years. I have also played different sports including soccer, volleyball, basketball, dance, and track. I love everything related to the outdoors including hiking, camping, hunting and fishing. I also enjoy working out, cooking, and spending quality time with my family and friends. I have played the piano for 12 years and am currently the pianist at our small but mighty Presbyterian church. It has been such a joy and blessing for me.
My sweet mama homeschooled me from kindergarten until 7th grade, which is when we discovered LOS. The first couple months were quite rough, lots of tears and late nights. I can now say that I am so thankful that my parents forced me to stick with it. LOS has shaped me into the woman that I am today. I have learned how to think and articulate clearly and I have developed the godly discipline that will carry me through the rest of my academic endeavours. Most importantly I have grown closer to the Lord. Many of my teachers (shoutout Mr. Smith :-) have acted as more than just teachers. They have been godly mentors and an encouragement to me as I navigated high school.
This fall I plan on attending the University of Idaho. I plan on majoring in nursing. After that I hope to become certified in functional holistic medicine. I want to be able to advocate for people and educate others so that they can heal their bodies the way that God intended. I know that all of these skills will allow me to be a better mother and wife sometime in the future.

"I grew up in a three bedroom house with eight siblings in a rice field in Opelousas, Louisiana. I’ve been homeschooled my whole life. In 7th grade, I began attending Logos and it truly has changed my life. I met my best friend here and so many people who’ve made a huge impact on me.
I’m beyond thankful I’ve been able to attend this school and do so alongside likeminded people and make friends. Before coming to LOS, I didn’t have a lot of friends, and I know that the little girl I was at 13 is looking at us now with a huge smile. I’ve learned so much and I’ve grown so much, and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without it.
After school, I hope to attend a school (undecided on which one), with hopes of double majoring in Interior and Graphic Design so I can one day open my own remodeling business. I want to meet a godly man, have a big farm, and plenty of kids, raising them up to be godly influences in the world. Overall, I want to honor Him."

"My education began at a Christian private school in my hometown of Lancaster, California, which I attended from preschool until 1st grade. When my family decided to move across the country to Massachusetts to be part of a church plant, however, that was no longer an option. Thus began my homeschooling journey! A couple years in, my parents discovered Logos Press, whose curriculum I studied under until 6th grade. 7th grade introduced me to Logos Online School, which I have been a part of since. LOS has made such a significant impact on my life, growing me so much not only in knowledge but also spiritually under the instruction of many godly teachers, and giving me the opportunity to meet amazing people and make lasting friends who would otherwise never have entered my life. It has also been something wonderfully consistent throughout the many moves my family has made both in MA and back to CA. I will be forever grateful for my time here!
My primary interests include reading, crocheting, sketching, hiking, swimming at the beach, and playing instruments. I also started a small online business last summer (IG handle: @swellsndshells), where I sell handmade crochet items! I dabbled briefly in hapkido, surfing, and ceramics last year as well, and would love to put more time into each of those in the future.
After graduation, I will be attending Westmont College as an Augustinian Scholar. My plan is to get a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with an emphasis in ecology and natural history. I love spending time outdoors and admiring God’s creation, especially plants, so I hope to center my career on some form of field botany."

"I was born and raised outside of Nashville, Tennessee. I have 5 brothers and 5 sisters. I have been homeschooled and attended co-op, finishing out my junior and senior years at Logos Online. My favorite subjects are math and science. I especially like Physics and chess. I have competed in several chess tournaments and placed 2nd place both times. My work and future interests are in Civil Engineering and construction.
My favorite authors are J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Brian Jacques.
Some of my favorite memories from my senior year are traveling to Ohio, Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, and Washington, D.C for prolife conferences and events. In D.C., I enjoyed the privilege of visiting the White House property for a screening of an upcoming documentary about the injustices and abuses during the last presidential administration. I also enjoyed a tour of the Department of Justice building."

"I grew up in a small town with one stop light and only 2,000 people. Despite its small size, the city has provided opportunities for the activities I enjoy. I have loved growing up with a ski hill, a community theater, pickleball and tennis courts, hiking and biking trails, and beautiful lakes and nature. Born into a ski family, I first hit the slopes when I was only two years old. Almost everyone in my family is or has been either a ski patroller or ski instructor, so my life has been filled with days on the mountain.
I am proud to say I have never attended public school. My mother co-founded a private Waldorf-inspired school that I went to from preschool through eighth grade. Because of Covid, the school briefly moved to an outdoor location for my seventh grade year. It was truly a unique experience to hold classes in the forest. In rain, snow, or sun, we learned under only the cover of the trees. This school provided a foundation for a love of learning. I made many close friendships and two of my friends joined me at Logos after we graduated from eighth grade.
My time at Logos has been so impactful for my faith. I cannot express my gratitude enough for my humanities teachers and classmates for providing such valuable and thought-provoking discussions. Along with the classical literature, I have enjoyed studying beautiful music with Mrs. Trauger, translating the hilarious stories in Latin with Mr. Moore, and always sharing a good laugh with Mr. Rauch in math class.
Outside of homework, most of my time is taken up by theater. In eighth grade I joined a youth community theater. I had the pleasure of playing many lead roles since then including Anne Shirley, The Wicked Witch of the West, and SpongeBob. Through theater I made some of my closest friends.
After tiring of always doing the same activities when spending time with my friends – board games and karaoke – I decided to start hosting themed get-togethers. My friends and I called it the “creative hangout: putting the fun back in function” as a joke, but the name ended up sticking! Some examples of our themed parties include: Christmas Craftmas, Citrus Summer Soirée, and my personal favorite, my ABBA themed 17th birthday party. I am grateful for my parents’ willingness to open our home to my friends, no matter how loud we were, or how much of a mess we made.
My future academic plan is to attend Boise State University in the Honors College. My sister is a sophomore there, and I am excited to be near her again. I have always been drawn to the medical field, so I am considering a career in nursing. I plan to minor in musical theater to advance my acting and singing skills. I find too much joy in theater to be done after high school. I will continue growing in my faith and pursuing God in everything I do."

"I was born and raised in Eastern Washington and classically homeschooled until enrolling at Logos Online School my 7th grade year. I am the oldest of six children and I delight in my siblings’ friendship. I treasure our memories of laughing at so many inside jokes together.
Growing up in a rural setting, I have had the unique opportunity to raise many animals, including a horse, chickens, goats, and many litters of cats, just to name a few. Having begun figure skating at a young age, I have enjoyed competing and now coaching through my local club.
I have further pursued my love for music through years of piano lessons and have recently expanded my training to include voice.
I also value spending my free time traveling, fellowshipping with friends, attending church events, staying active through exercise, and expressing creativity through art.
I have appreciated my LOS teachers and have learned a great deal, and I will always be blessed by my years of instruction there.
I plan to continue my education at New Saint Andrews College this fall, trusting God will lead me as I seek to glorify Him the rest of my days."

"I was born and raised in Michigan. Growing up, I was homeschooled along with my older siblings by my mom for a few years. From early elementary through 8th grade, I attended a classical, Christian, private school with some homeschool sprinkled in. With a lot of changes in staffing and the majority of the reputable high school teachers moving on from my school after covid disruptions, we decided to give Logos a try for my freshman year. My sister had attended for her senior year and loved the new environment and great teachers.
At first, I was unsure, as I had never done an online format before, but as time went on, I grew to appreciate the extra time I had for extracurriculars, although my homework load quickly increased. This brought new challenges between the balance of work and school, but it has been worth it. I am grateful for the experience I have had at Logos, I have met many godly and patient classmates and teachers along the way.
I am planning to attend a local community college to pursue an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts, with a Certificate in the Personal Chef Industry. My dream is to be a wife and mom, but for now, I will continue to practice my cooking skills. I do not know where the Lord will lead me, but I am excited to see what is in store!"

"I've grown up going to many different schools. I started out at a public school, then 2 different private schools, then a classical school, and then I came to Logos in grade 8. Out of all my school experiences, Logos has been by far the best. I thank the Lord for this school because it, and the people in it, have played a large role in my walk with Christ. I'm not always the most involved with the people in my classes, so I'm not surprised I haven't gained any awards, but I am content with just being a part of this school.
After school, I plan on pursuing my career as a marine mechanic, applying all the financial business knowledge I've learned in consumer math. I desire to write music to the Lord and study the truths of God behind such an amazing creation. I also desire to pursue a Christ centred relationship, helping raise the next generation of believers, if it is the Lord's will. Most importantly, I strive to live a life focused around Christ, and all that He is and has done. Thank you Logos for such an awesome school experience and to God be the glory forever!"

"I was born in the odd state of Wisconsin, and since then I have moved a total of 13 times. I now reside in the flat, field-covered lands of Kansas. As an obvious result of living in this incredible state, I have experienced countless severe thunderstorms, quite a few of them containing great deals of hail, and only a small fraction produced tornadoes. As a small fearful child, I was frightened at every flash of lightning, and horrorstricken with each blast of glorious thunder. Now, in a slightly ironic way, I have an undying love for the beautiful and chaoticness of weather, specifically the tornado-ripe storms.
Music and art have almost always been a key part of my life, for as long as I can remember. I distinctly remember a day in kindergarten where my teacher decided to play a short little song for us. This happened to be, “What A Wonderful World”, by Louis Armstrong. Something clicked in that moment and the music seemed to pulse through my veins, and I understood music, not as just a beautiful pastime or mood setter, but as a sort of language. This made me the only jazz-loving 7 year old kid in that entire school. I love nearly all genres of music but, due to that particular experience, the incredible, uncanny genre of Jazz holds a particularly special place in my heart.
By the time I was 13, I had the great opportunity to be in close contact with a professional comic artist, Eric Weathers, who mentored me in my artistry, and I believe it is safe to say that I would never be where I am today If it weren't for his mentorship regarding my art. Art and jazz, combined with these occasionally tornadic storms that I have grown to love so dearly, truly display God's power and creativity.
Over the years, I have gone between being fully enrolled in a brick and mortar school, and being entirely homeschooled. In the year 2022, I joined Logos Online School. Through my many years at this school, I have had the privilege of having a great number of different teachers, who I have greatly enjoyed."

"Up until grade six I had been attending public school with a small amount of extra education at home provided by my mother. Since my town (Dryden, Ontario) is small, opportunities for higher level education (like Logos provides) aren't limited–they don’t exist at all. That is, until the option of online education opened up with the Pandemic. We looked around for a while (we really did not want to attend public school anymore), and lo and behold, we found Logos. I’m so glad we found it!
Thanks to Logos’ rigorous academic work, I’ve been able to learn, and hone time management skills and discipline that will serve me well later in life. During the first year I found that it was difficult to get everything done in a day, but as time went on I gradually had more free time and I was able to do more of my hobbies (knitting, reading, drawing, writing, and baking). Actually, I even got enough time to start working on (and finish) a book. During the last two years of school, I was able to write a short chapter each week and in the end it all added up to 145k words.
In grade eleven I took Mrs. Bone’s creative writing course and it was phenomenal. Prior to that year, I had taken almost no notes on anything, and if I did take one, it was just usually a sticky note on the wall (with an average of 50 on my wall at a time). When I took her course, however, I actually put stuff down in a spiral notebook and filled almost the entire thing. Not only that, but I’ve found that it’s still helpful to pull it up for reference. I don’t think that I would’ve learned to enjoy writing so much without that class. And the year following that, senior year, I continued to write notes and it’s been excellent. I do still have sticky notes on my wall though, I think 68 was the most I had at once this year… can’t be too sure though; they weren’t all for school, however, so that makes a difference."

Hood River, OR

"My name is Emma Pearl Wilson. I live in a cabin in the beautiful hills surrounding the town of White Salmon, in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. A few of my favorite things about where I live is all the delicious food, the six plus feet of snow in the winter, and all the wild animals (black bear, cougar, deer, the occasional elk, or wolf, etc).
Some of my hobbies include baking, playing with my Idaho Shag dog Homer, watching old westerns and musicals, cleaning house, reading (some of my favorite non-school books are Green Grass of Wyoming by Mary O’Hara, The Sackett books by Louis L’amour, and the Lord Peter Wimsey books by Dorothy Sayers), embroidery, and finding new ways to style my little sisters’ hair.
My educational journey really started at birth, when I was born into a wonderful, Christian family. I went to a small, private preschool, then to a public kindergarten and first grade. From second grade on, I have been homeschooled by my loving parents. Though we tried many curricula, none seemed like quite the perfect fit, so we ended up using a blend of them all!
Once I entered the tenth grade, I was enrolled in Logos Online School. I must admit that at first the work seemed quite difficult, and the schedule, being much more rigid, took some getting used to. Before long though, I started to thrive in this educational environment, learning more than I would have ever thought possible while making great memories with friends that I will never forget. Some of the subjects that I loved most were Latin I and II with Mrs. Trauger, Integrated Humanities III and Apologetics with Dr. Soderberg, and Integrated Humanities IV with Mr. Dixon.
The years flew by, and before I knew it, my workload had increased, I was writing scholarship essays, and searching for the “perfect” college. Throughout this all, however, family was the main priority. Most every weekend my six siblings and I – ages 0 to 18 – picniced out in the woods, ran through creeks, and scouted the fields of our property. Each Friday night we squished onto our family room couch and watched a movie together. During weekends we baked, raised mason bees for our orchard, built fences, and worked with the animals. There is never a dull moment running a small highland cattle ranch! Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support and encouragement of my wonderful parents! They work tirelessly to ensure that my siblings and I have the best education and upbringing possible.
Once I graduate high school, I will be attending Maranatha Baptist University in hopes of pursuing a degree in language disorders. My dream, though, would be to eventually get married and raise a big, beautiful family as a stay-at-home mom out in the country somewhere. But no matter what my future has in store, I know that the Lord will continue to guide and provide for me."
