Class Description: The course content itself is similar to any traditional Euclidean geometry course. Inductive and deductive reasoning and two-column proofs are introduced early in the year. Students will learn and apply properties of circles, triangles, quadrilaterals, and other polygons. They will also find the area of these figures and the volume of geometric solids. Students will understand transformations, reflections, rotations, and dilations of figures on the coordinate plane and apply the Pythagorean Theorem to numerous problem-solving situations. Finally, students will learn and apply trigonometric ratios, the Law of Sines and Cosines, and trigonometric identities. This is a challenging course that encourages higher-level thinking skills."

Credits: 1 (Math), Honors

Prerequisite: Students must have successfully completed Algebra 1 before taking Geometry, but may elect to take Algebra II before or after Geometry.

Mtg. Days:  Mon., Tues., Wed., & Thur (4 days each week)

    Required Materials:

    • Saxon Geometry Student Text
    • Saxon Geometry Solutions Manual

*Registration & Payment Plans: Upon registration, Logos Online will create a monthly payment plan for the balance of tuition, paid in monthly installments with the first payment due June 1 and the final payment in May. Families who register after June 1 will be invoiced immediately for the months that have transpired at the time of registration. For example, if a student registers on August 25, the family will pay the 20% deposit as well as the monthly payments for June, July, and August. They will then continue forward with the monthly payment plan for the balance of tuition.
